Q. Will the conference be virtual, live, or hybrid?

A. The 6th Annual Children of Incarcerated Parents National Conference will be a hybrid conference. Live sessions will take place in Scottsdale, Arizona. Virtual attendees will be able to join in via a virtual lobby.


Q. What dates and times will the conference take place?

A. The 6th Annual Children of Incarcerated Parents National Conference will take place on April 15th, 16th & 17th, 2024 and will start at 8:00 am Arizona Time/Pacific Daylight Time Zone (GMT -7) 


Q. Do you have a schedule for the conference?

A. The complete schedule will be available in the conference app prior to the conference.  


Q. How will I access the conference? 

A. If you purchased “in-person” tickets then you will attend the conference at ASU SkySong, Building 3 which is located at 1365 N. Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257

Virtual attendees will access the conference through a virtual lobby, details on how to access the virtual lobby and conference app will be provided prior to the conference.


Q. What topics will be discussed on which days?

A. Day 1: The history, impact and evolution of parenting programming - sponsored by Parenting Inside Out 

Day 2: Planning, implementing, and funding programs with parents and children

Day 3:Youth voice and advocacy


Q: I/my organization cannot afford the registration fee. Are there scholarships available to attend the conference?

A: A: We anticipate having a limited number of scholarships available again for CIP2024. If you would like to apply for a scholarship or have questions about scholarships, please send an email to childwellbeing@asu.edu
 

Q: My organization would like to register multiple people but will need to pay by check. How can we do that?

A: If you need to request an invoice to pay by check, please send an email to childwellbeing@asu.edu indicating the following information:

  1. The name of your organization.
  2. The contact person who should receive the invoice.
  3. The name of each individual that will be attending and what days they will be registered.
  4. The number of total registrations to be invoiced.

Please note: There are a limited number of in-person seats available, please reach out to us as soon as possible to secure your reservation.


Q. Our organization would like to sponsor the conference, are there sponsorship opportunities available? 

A. Yes, we have sponsor tiers available to fit every budget. Please visit our Sponsor page to view the latest sponsor brochure and contact information.


Q. Will you be offering virtual exhibit booths this year?

.A. Our app is a little bit different this year and includes customizable sponsor information viewable within the app and virtual lobby.  
 

Q. Do you have a list of hotels that are close to the conference?

A. There are a number of hotels close to the venue. Please check out the list below for some nearby options. 

 

 

Q. I’ve/we’ve never been to Arizona before, is there anything to do?

A. Scottsdale, Tempe, and Phoenix are filled with things to do. There’s something for everyone, whether their interests lie in Indigenous history, fine dining, or museums and attractions.

Some of our favorites are the Heard Museum, the ASU Art Museum, Casa Grande National Monument, and the Desert Botanical Garden to name just a few.

Please visit the Scottsdale, Tempe, and Phoenix visitor information sites to find activities and events in the area. If you have a few extra days, then you might consider visiting Northern Arizona sites such as Sedona, Flagstaff, or the Grand Canyon.

 

Q. There are some strange looking numbers on the payment page and confirmation. Should I be worried about this? 

A. No. These numbers are generated by our payment system to help protect your credit card information.
