Community engagement

Facilitation of collective impact

We are committed to creating a culture of beneficial exchange through community collaboration and enduring partnership. Our efforts also aim to increase public awareness and opportunities for community engagement relative to safety, permanency and well-being of children in Arizona.

  • We are a proud Network Partner of the Children's Wellbeing Initiative. This national initiative, launched by Ashoka Changemakers and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, promotes children’s well-being in the United States.
  • In 2017, we hosted the National Title IV-E Roundtable conference to increase knowledge of, and access to, greater federal funding through partnership. 35 states and 6 tribal nations were represented by over 220 attendees.
  • In 2016, we hosted the National Citizen Review Panel conference to draw attention to its mission and build public will for child welfare-related issues. 27 state/districts/territories were represented by over 180 attendees.
  • In 2015, we hosted the Child Welfare and Quality Early Education Summit -- supported by a Children’s Bureau grant in collaboration with the Maricopa County Juvenile Court.

  • In 2014, we hosted a town hall meeting to establish a shared vision for serving children of incarcerated parents. The meeting was well attended by representatives of the state’s child welfare agencies as well as community- based organizations.
